TRIBUTES are pouring in for a ‘wonderful’ Alcester waiter whose body is believed to have been found by police.
Imed Boudhina went missing on Tuesday, February 9.
Police reported the discovery of a body in the town on the following Saturday. It is believed to be the 46-year-old although formal identification is yet to take place.
Police say the circumstances around the death are not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Boudhina worked at both Orangemabel in Alcester and El Greco restaurant in Stratford and colleagues have thanked the community for helping to search for the popular dad-of-two.
Posts on the Orangemabel Facebook page read: “Saying foodbye to a legend. Alcester sure did love you” and “Thanks to everyone who cared. Alcester is amazing. He loved it here.”
At the El Greco posts read: “We, his second family, are devastated at his loss and know life will never be the same again without him. Our hearts are broken for his family here in the UK – particularly his two boys whom Imed was totally devoted to – and those in Tunisia.”
Close friend Bramwell Philips wrote: “We as his friends were overwhelmed by the humanity and he would have been touched by the response.
“Thank you to the police for acting without delay. Thank you to his friends and colleagues who planned and searched in freezing weather conditions and sometimes darkness. Thank you to the unnamed people – that’s you guys – who cared enough to take the time to respond, offer, search, ask, tell and shed a tear.
“Our hearts and thoughts are with his children and his parents. Our prayers are with Imed.”
