TOUCHING tributes have been left in Bentley Heath following a fatal motorbike accident.

A man in his 20s, named locally as Scott, was pronounced dead at the scene after hitting a bus stop pole on Widney Road around 6.30pm on May 12.

West Midlands Police have yet to name of the motorcyclist.

The roadside was covered in flowers, football scarves, flags and messages in memory of the biker.

One read: “Scott, an old soul in a young mans body.

“A truly genuine and kind person.

“You will leave such a hole in so many peoples lives. Love always.”

Another read: “Forever the glue of ever friendship.

“Never forgotten always in my heart.”

The road was closed off near the junction of Tilehouse Lane, as initial investigations were carried out.

Shortly after the incident acting Det Sgt Chris Ridge, from the West Midlands Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts today are with the family of the motorbike rider who has sadly lost his life.

“We’re in the early stages of the investigation to establish exactly what happened and officers have already spoken with a number of people at the scene.

“We’d also appeal for any witnesses who we’ve not yet spoken with, or any drivers who were in the area and have dashcam footage, to get in contact.”

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact the police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101.
