TRIBUTES have flooded in to a ‘much-loved’ dad who died while on holiday in Magaluf.

Reports claim Adrian O’Kane was knocked down and killed by a drunk and drugged driver on the island of Majorca in the early hours of Sunday (April 23) morning.

The former Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School pupil, in Acocks Green, was in the Spanish holiday resort for a friend’s stag weekend.

Emergency services rushed to the scene where paramedics spent approximately 30 minutes attending to the 40-year-old.

However, he was pronounced dead shortly at the scene.

In the days following family, friends and well-wishes have banded together in a bid to raise £8,000 to repatriate his body to his family as Adrian did not have any holiday insurance.

Donations have now passed £25,000 – the extra money raised will go towards his funeral expenses and supporting his two daughters.

Friends and family members took to social media and the Just Giving site, which was set up by Fiona O’Riordan to raise the money, to remember the builder.

Fiona wrote: “Thank you again for everybody’s generous donations.

“Please keep donating if you can as any extra money raised will go towards covering the cost of Adrian’s funeral and any additional money will be given to Adrian’s two daughters.”

Anne Green wrote: “In tears reading all the messages and overwhelming kindness of people.

“If only he could see what an impact he’d made.

“God Bless you Adrian xx”

Kerry Spillane wrote: “RIP Adrian

“You were such a fun, loving guy – a true gent.

“I have so many happy memories x

“Thinking of you and your family xxx”

While Amy Washbrook’s simply read “A true gentleman. So shocked at the news. R.I.P Adrian.”
