Top NHS boss gets trainers ready for Great Birmingham Run

Solihull Editorial 1st May, 2023   0

A TOP BHS boss has got his running shoes on ready to take on the Great Birmingham Run.

Jonathan Brotherton, the chief executive at University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust (UHB), which oversees the running of Solihull, Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals will be lining up along side hundreds of others to take on the 10K route across the city on May 7.

He will be raising funds for UHB Charity which support patients, families and staff at their hospitals by providing ‘added extras’ that are over and above that which is provided by the NHS.

Jonathan said: “The charity helps the Trust immensely every day by funding multiple items that the NHS cannot routinely purchase, from state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to supporting lifesaving research and funding patients’ comforts to try and make what can be a difficult time as easy as it possibly can be.”
