Time for a 'Blooming Great Tea Party' for Marie Curie

Solihull Editorial 29th May, 2015 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016   0

MARIE Curie is urging local residents to get together with family, friends or colleagues to organise a Blooming Great Tea Party between June 20 and 29 to raise vital funds to provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness.

Cash raised from a Blooming Great Tea Party will help Marie Curie Nurses care for more people living with a terminal illness in their own homes in Solihull and in the Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull.

Community fundraiser, Amy McNaughton-Brown, said: “Holding your own Blooming Great Tea Party is really easy to do.

“Whether you hold it at home, at work or somewhere locally it’s a fun way to get together with friends and support your local Marie Curie Nurses and people living with a terminal illness.”

The Marie Curie Hospice on Marsh Lane in Solihull is holding its own Blooming Great Tea Party on July 4 and would like to invite all Solihull residents to come along to enjoy some lovely homemade cakes, tea and entertainment.

The event will take place between 11am and 4pm and all are welcome.

Last year across the UK the Blooming Great Tea Party for Marie Curie raised £667,000, which pays for 33,350 hours of vital nursing care.
