Solihull Editorial 8th Apr, 2016 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016   0

TICKETS are still available for the Mayor of Solihull’s charity ball on Saturday, April 23.

The St George’s Day themed ball will be raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the other Mayoral charities.

The evening promises to be a ‘spectacular celebration of all that is great about England’ and will feature music from Beatlemania UK, an internationally-acclaimed Beatles tribute band.

Tickets for the event are £45 and include a three-course dinner, dancing and entertainment.

Prizes for the evening have been generously donated by individuals and businesses all around the area and include a Land Rover experience day, a cricket bat signed by the England 2015 One Day International team, and a custom-made suit from Clements & Church.

The Mayor of Solihull, Coun Glenis Slater, said: “I’m really looking forward to this terrific event.

“We’re going to raise lots of money to support some really worthwhile causes and have a great evening to celebrate our patron saint.

“Teenage Cancer Trust is a magnificent charity; they help some of the most unfortunate people in society. They provide outstanding care and support for people and help to raise awareness of this terrible disease.”

Tickets are selling fast but there are still some available, they can be purchased from the Mayor’s Office by contacting [email protected] or 0121 704 6023.
