SOLIHULL’S Indian Summer was matched by Indian cuisine and a palate of global tastes at the annual food and drink festival at the weekend.
The sun shone as chefs Jean-Christophe Novelli, Chris Bavin and Val Stones entertained crowds with cookery demonstrations and tips for creating great-tasting dishes.
There were more than 150 food stalls, live music and children’s entertainers across the town centre at the annual showcase of Solihull’s bars and restaurants.
The Big Ale Trail offered a branded Ale Trail glass to enjoy a swig at bars and pubs.
The food and drink festival is arranged by Solihull BID, the Business Improvement District for the town centre.
Melanie Palmer, director at Solihull BID, said: “This has undoubtedly been the biggest and most successful festival in the town centre to date. The addition of the live music street-food zone, which went on until 10pm, was amazing.
“The uplift in visitor numbers has not only added to the success of the event but also brought in additional revenue for our businesses.”
