The generation game: Five tiers of family together

THE ARRIVAL of a baby girl marked an incredible five generations of a Solihull family – ranging from 96 to just six weeks old.

June Terry aged 96 came together with her daughter Jean Morrison aged 78, her grand-daughter Katie Lewis 51, her great-grandson Jack Metcalfe aged 25 to welcome her great-great grand-daughter Rosie Metcalfe to the world.

The family headed by June, who lives in Shirley, met just after Rosie – who lives in Dickens Heath with her dad Jack and her mum Izzy, all came together to mark the occasion just after Rosie was born in January.

Katie said: “After having three boys, a grandfidaughter is so special and she’s beautiful.




“The love you feel is instant and the fact that my eldest is now a dad makes me so proud.

“I’m so proud to have five generations in my family and can’t believe it.”


The five generations have lived across Solihull and Katie, who lives in Sutton Coldfield. said she travelled the world with her parents but they always ended up coming back to the Midlands.
