With Christmas fast approaching, Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to fly in from the North Pole to officially mark the start of the festive season in Solihull.
On Saturday, November 19 at 12noon, Santa will be arriving at Touchwood with his trusted team of elves to greet Solihull’s younger residents and get everyone in the seasonal spirit.
What’s more, the man himself will be taking up residence in his enchanting new grotto until Saturday, December 24, to give youngsters the chance to say hello and receive an early Christmas gift.
As part of the centre’s festive celebrations, Touchwood’s iconic polar bear, Presley, will also be making a return, complete with frost and plenty of sparkle, to offer the perfect setting for a festive family photo.
What’s more, the cuddly bear will be joined by a special animatronic friend on November 19 and December 10.
Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “We are all very excited for the arrival of Santa.
“Christmas at the centre is set to be extra special this year, and welcoming Santa is the perfect way to start our celebrations.
Touchwood will also be offering a host of fun festive activities throughout December to help spread the Christmas cheer, including appearances by a captivating magician.
Younger guests will even be given the opportunity write and decorate a letter to Santa with the help of his trusty elves and post it straight to the North Pole in a special letter box.
Guests can enjoy a relaxing shopping experience in Touchwood this Christmas thanks to extended opening hours during December. From Monday, December 12 stores will remain open until 9pm on weekdays and 8pm on Saturday, December 17.
