Teenager bailed over Marston Green machete incident

A TEENAGER has been released on bail following a knife attack in Marston Green.

The incident happened in the car park of Marston Green Recreation Ground, Bickenhill Road, at around 4.50pm on August 3.

West Midlands Police officers were sent to the scene following reports that a group of teenagers were attacking each other with machetes.

A 17-year-old boy was found with a knife wound to his chest. He has undergone surgery and remains in hospital in a stable condition.




Two other teenagers, aged 17 and 18, suffered minor injuries and have since been discharged from hospital.

On Friday a 15-year-old boy, who has not been named by West Midlands Police, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
