RESIDENTS of three villages in the Solihull borough have been invited to talks over the future of a neighbourhood forum.
The Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath Neighbourhood Forum designation expires in October 2020, and residents and business are to be consulted on its future.
A spokesman for Solihull Council said: “In October 2015, Solihull Council approved a Neighbourhood Area application covering the villages of Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath. At the same time, the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum was formally designated as the qualifying body authorised to act for the area.
“As a Neighbourhood Forum designation ceases to have effect after five years, the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum has formally applied to the Council to have its designation renewed. For the avoidance of doubt, the Neighbourhood Area does not need to be re-confirmed and the KDBH Neighbourhood Plan remains unaffected.
“The application is now subject to a period of public consultation which will close on Wednesday 23 September 2020.
“If the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum is designated, no other organisation or body may be designated for the Neighbourhood Area until that designation expires or is withdrawn.
“Any representations about whether the KDBH Neighbourhood Forum is capable of being designated as a Neighbourhood Forum, should be emailed to Solihull Council at [email protected] to be received no later than 5pm on Wednesday 23 September 2020.”
