TALENTED young crafters at Saint Martin’s School have had their creations on show at Kirstie Allsopp’s The Handmade Fair at Ragley Hall over the weekend.

The children, all aged three to six and part of the nursery and reception at the Brueton Avenue school, painted ladybirds, snakes and flowers and made pottery butterflies – all with a theme of cross-curricular learning about counting, doubles and symmetry.

And their efforts were on show for all to see at the all-things crafty spectacular at Ragley – proudly on display in the Organisers’ Office.

They will also be featured at further The Handmade Fairs at Bowood House in Wiltshire and Hampton Court Palace over the summer.

Show manager Freya Kingsley said: “We were thrilled to display the work of the pupils of Saint Martin’s School at Kirstie Allsopp’s The Handmade Fair at Ragley Hall.

“Their work brought colour and fun to the show and enhanced our message that everyone can craft, no matter what age you are.”

Saint Martin’s Head Nicola Smillie added: “The children really enjoyed making their creations and are really proud they have appeared at such a prestigious event.

“It was also a great way to make learning fun, which is the best way to learn and something we place great importance on here at Saint Martin’s.”
