A CHELMSLEY Wood care home surprised a resident on her 90th birthday.
Residents, staff, friends, and family at Chelmunds Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate Sheila’s special day.
The celebration, carefully planned in secret, saw the home’s café beautifully decorated with floral arrangements, creating a warm and welcoming setting for the occasion.
A catered afternoon gathering brought together Sheila’s closest friends and family, ensuring she was surrounded by those who care about her most.
The event was filled with emotion and joy as guests surprised Sheila with heartfelt renditions of Happy Birthday, along with gifts and cards.
Sheila said: “I really appreciate you all for your surprise. I didn’t know I was loved this much.”
The idea for the celebration came as part of the home’s ongoing efforts to recognise and honour residents’ milestones.
