THE ALE was in full flow as the sun shone down for the annual Three Lions Beer Festival.
Beer-lovers were spoilt for choice at Shirley British Legion with 18 real ales and 10 ciders on offer.
The event, organised by Acocks Green Lions, Shirley Lions and Solihull Lions on September 8 and 9 saw entertainment from Ray’s Open Mic Night.
Beer Festival chairman, Phil Rippington said: “The Beer Festival always has two objectives – to provide an opportunity to taste some real ales and unusual ciders whilst raising money for charity.
“All 23 the ales and ciders have been sponsored by local business and our thanks go to them as it means most of our costs are covered, and so more funds will be able to go to charity.”
Proceeds will go to New Life, which provides specialist equipment for disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.
Phil added: “By supporting our event, we can ensure more children get the best possible start in life and fulfil their potential.”
