A WINE Merchants is set to hold its annual Summer Wine Festival in aid of a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide.
Wine connoissuers and wine lovers alike are being invited join forces with Frazier’s Wine Merchants at Nuthurst Grange on June 8 to help raise funds for The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
There will be more than 100 wines on offer to sample, live music and a pig roast.
To top off the evening there will be chocolate tasting by Knowle-based chocolatiers, 1683 Chocolate Place, pairing nicely with the sweet wine collection.
Frazier’s will also be hosting a raffle to win a bottle of Joseph Perrier champagne with all proceeds being donated to CALM.
CALM is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide – the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.
Founded in 2006, CALM runs hard-hitting campaigns to promote culture change and better understanding of suicide so that all men feel able to seek help.
The charity also provides frontline services through a free helpline, webchat and website.
The tasting will begin at 5.30pm with food served from 7.30pm.
Tickets for the festival cost £25, though guests who spend over £75 on wine at the event will receive a full refund for their ticket price.
