SOLIHULL Council has fully taken over the reins of Covid-19 Test and Trace in the borough.
During an update on the pandemic at the Full Council meeting on Tuesday (April 13), Councillor Karen Grinsell said Solihull Council had fully taken on contact tracing for all coronavirus cases from the national team in the borough.
The scheme came under fire as contact success rates were so low.
So local authorities, including Solihull’s, have started to take on the role to help reduce infection rates in their area.
Coun Grinsell said: “Our public health team have been working extremely hard and the success rate so far we are up to 91 per cent in our contact.
“That’s well above national average but of course we always aim for 100 per cent.”
