STUDENTS, jobseekers and organisations from across the West Midlands joined Saqib Bhatti MP for his Careers Fair at Solihull College.
Exhibitors at the Fair included Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Barclays, University of Birmingham and Tarmac alongside local organisations like Solihull Council, Solihull Police and the Solihull Chambers of Commerce amongst many others.
The Fair provided employers with the opportunity to scout for local talent whilst offering students and jobseekers the chance to explore career options directly with recruitment teams.
Mr Bhatti said: “A huge thank you to everyone who attended my Careers Fair this year, with hundreds of attendees present, the day was a huge success.
“We have incredibly talented young people across the Solihull Borough and I was pleased to bring some of the country’s leading employers to discuss career opportunities directly with them and other constituents.
“A special thank you to the team at Solihull College for their support in hosting the Fair for a second year running and for continuing to champion opportunities in North Solihull.”
John Duffy, Assistant Principal of Solihull College & University Centre said: “We were delighted that Saqib Bhatti MP’s careers fair was, yet again, a resounding success.
“The event provided a platform for local individuals to engage with professionals from a diverse range of industries, gain valuable insights and expand their knowledge of potential career options.
“Events like this are crucial to bridging the gap between education and employment, and Saqib’s dedication to fostering opportunities for local individuals is valued and appreciated in the local area.”
