Students at Solihull School celebrate GCSE results

Ian Hughes 24th Aug, 2017   0

SOLIHULL School is celebrating 90 per cent of this year’s GCSE grades at A* to B.

The independent school saw 52 pupils achieve eight or more A*/A grades, while 14 pupils celebrated eight A*s and eight pupils achieved ten A*s.

Solihull also received landmark first grades in English using the new numerical grading system introduced this year amid tougher exams throughout England.

The results come on the back of equally strong A Level results for Solihull, in which 80 per cent of all grades achieved were at A* to B.

Headmaster David Lloyd said: “This year’s results represent another excellent achievement from our pupils. My congratulations go to all of them, along with all of our staff, for their hard work and dedication.”

Students were able to take advantage of a specially-created photo booth put in place at the school, from which they could take away polaroid pictures as a keepsake of their day.

Solihull School will be hosting an open day on Saturday September 23. Visit www.solsch.org.uk for further details.
