SCHOOLCHILDREN can enjoy learning about the great outdoors safely once more thanks to a group of volunteers.
Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV), working in partnership with HS2, provided their support and material to rebuild the fence in Damson Wood Nursery and Infant School Academy’s Forest School area which was damaged by recent storms.
The Forest School programme offers hands-on experiences to inspire curiosity, confidence and environmental awareness among pupils.
And tanks to BBV’s assistance the newly rebuilt fence will maintain a safe and sustainable area for pupils.
Sian Stevens, headteacher, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Balfour Beatty Vinci for their support.
“Their contribution makes a real difference to our Forest School, allowing us to continue delivering enriching outdoor learning experiences for children.”
Nathaniel Fuller, community engagement and interface specialist at Balfour Beatty Vinci working on behalf of HS2 said: “We are proud to support our local community by helping with the fence repair at Damson Wood Nursery and Infant School Academy.
“Ensuring that the school grounds are safe and secure for students and staff is a small but meaningful way to give back. We believe in investing in the future, and that starts with supporting the education and well-being of the children in our neighbourhood.
“As a team, it’s a privilege for our workforce to contribute to something that positively impacts the students and the local community.”
Homeowners looking for durable garden boundaries often choose high-quality Fence Panels for privacy and long-lasting protection.
Modern gardens are increasingly using Slatted Fence Panels to create a stylish and contemporary outdoor space.
