Step out with free Solihull BID course for the mind and body

Solihull Editorial 10th Feb, 2021   0

NEW free dance choreography lessons and a virtual wellbeing portal have been launched to keep the minds and bodies of Solihull residents in shape.

The projects have been organised by Solihull BID – the Business Improvement District for the town centre – in conjunction with local companies.

The BID has teamed up with Dance Fitness Solihull to offer free dance choreography lessons for the whole family.

The five-part series will teach participants how to perform one of the biggest TikTok dance crazes of the past 12 months.

All five videos will be featured on the BID’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/SolihullBID.

As well as being fun to learn and keeping people active, they can also win free dance lessons and a £50 gift card by sending in a video of their dance once the routine has been learned.

Residents can also enjoy free access to triONLINE Virtual Wellbeing throughout lockdown.

The portal includes exercise classes, motivational talks and mindfulness practices as well as cooking tutorials and advice on food.

To sign up head to the BID website – https://solihullbid.co.uk/emergestrongersolihull/.

BID chief executive Melanie Palmer said: “The Covid-19 crisis has left a deep scar that has chipped away at our societal and economic backbone. We want to support the amazing community resilience out there in every way we can.

“Our website has a whole range of advice and guidance and I am excited to see the launch of the new fitness and wellbeing programmes.

“I hope you will join me and many others in a bit of fun in these dark days and attempt the TikTok routine!”
