A MILLISONS Wood hair and beauty business has been shortlisted for three national awards.
Stacey’s Gel Nails has made it to the final round of the UK Hair and Beauty Awards in the Best Gel Nails, Best New Salon and Best Salon Décor categories.
Stacey Cox took the leap into beauty in February 2020, just before Covid hit, after spending 15 years in the banking industry.
However due to restrictions and childcare she wasn’t able to get up and running until May 2021.
Stacey said: “Due to too having a very busy family I needed to be able to have flexibility in working hours which wasn’t possible where I was.
“Covid gave me the opportunity for me to think what do I really want to do and he answer was meet lots of new people on my time and to make them feel good.
I am absolutely over the moon and speechless to be shortlisted.”
The next step for Stacey is to increase her beauty kit with permanent make up this is a cosmetic procedure to camouflage scars, create the appearance of a nipple for women who have had a mastectomy or create long-lasting eyeliner or lipliner.
Stacey added: “This again is a passion as I can not only make people in general feel and look great but also help people who may be going through massive life moments like cancer patients or ill heath that have lost some of their identity.”
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards supports all beauty businesses and gives candidates the chance to expand opportunities via social media, no matter their financial and social status.
