SOLIHULL will turn red and white this weekend at the 12th annual 1066 Motorcycle Club St George’s Day Parade.

Dubbed ‘The World’s Largest Unofficial St George’s Day Parade’, the parade will see bikes, cars, scooters, trikes, trucks and vans, take to the borough’s street in honour of the patron saints.

This year riders in the parade will fundraise for the Midlands Freewheelers – a charity which sees bikers transport blood and other emergency medical supplies between hospitals.

Starting at the Notcutts and Tesco on Stratford Road, Monkspath at 6pm, the parade will drive up the Stratford Road to Shirley High Street, then return down the A34 and before ending in Henley-in-Arden.

St George’s flags will be flown on the parade, with organisers warning against attendees bringing ‘racist paraphernalia’.
