FINAL rehearsals are under way as St Augustine’s musical theatre company get ready to perform Fiddler on the Roof.
Talented thespians will be singing and dancing their way through the show’s score at The Core from November 21 to 25.
Fiddler on the Roof is set in a small village in Tsarist Russia and is based on Tevye, the father of five daughters living the traditional way that Jewish folk of the area have always lived – until the younger generation start to rebel.
Every belief that Tevye has lived by starts to disintegrate.
After an arranged marriage of 25 years he suddenly and heartbreakingly needs to ask his wife “Do you love me”?
The score includes If I were a Rich Man, Matchmaker Make me a Match and Sunrise, Sunset.
