A SOLIHULL-based building company has scooped two top regional industry awards – including one for transforming an abandoned cow shed into an immaculate office space.
Form Construction Midlands Ltd picked up the accolades at the Federation of Master Builders’ 2021 Midlands Master Builder Awards sponsored by TradePoint, which were hosted online on May 12.
The awards recognise excellence in small and medium-sized construction companies and are run by the FMB, the largest trade association in the UK construction industry, which is this year celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Form won the Commercial Project award for a breathtaking renovation of a simple steel cowshed at Packwood Lane in Lapworth into a flexible and contemporary two-storey office space that impressed judges with its high quality finishes and innovative design.
Form’s client The Wheel Specialist said: “The space we now have has transformed the way we are able to work and it is a genuinely lovely environment to come to work in every day.”
Form also picked up the Midlands Master Builder Award for best kitchen project for a show-stopping open-plan family entertaining space in a near totally refurbished property also in Lapworth.
The award judges said it was an “impressive and challenging build delivered on time and cost.”
Form will now go forward to compete in both categories in the UK-wide national Master Builder Awards.
Stephen Rankin, managing director of Form Construction, said: “We are so proud of the cowshed renovation as it was our first commercial project, but we brought it in on budget and on time, much to our client’s delight.”
