SOLIHULL teenage singing star Liam Price, who was a semi-finalist in The Voice Kids UK 2019, will be performing songs from his new Christmas album at Touchwood on two dates.

Shoppers can enjoy festive favourites from Liam’s album My Christmas Wish on the shopping centre stage on Wednesday December 18, between 3pm and 5pm, and again on Saturday December 21 from 4pm to 6pm.

The 13-year-old rose to fame after appearing on The Voice Kids UK in June after impressing judges with his rendition of Bill Withers’ Lean on Me.

Judges in all four red chairs turned around including Will.I.Am, Pixie Lott, Danny Jones and Jessie J who then battled it out to become his mentor on the popular TV show.

The judges then broke out into song in a bid to serenade Liam onto their team. Despite their attempts, Liam chose to join Team Pixie.

Liam will be fundraising for local charity Help Harry Help Others, helping to support families with cancer in memory of Harry Moseley who died aged 11 in 2011. The teen’s new album will also be on sale.

On his Facebook page Liam said: “I am absolutely thrilled to say I have been asked to perform at Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull. A massive thank you to all involved!”

Liam will be officially launching his new album at The Crown, Olton, on Friday December 13 with fellow The Voice contestants Connie Emery and Aimee Bryceland, among the invited guest artists. This year’s winner of The Voice Kids UK was 13-year-old Sam Wilkinson who clinched the final vote after a performance of Hey Jude with his coach Danny Jones.

Prior to his TV appearance Liam performed with The North Solihull Singers and Sing Out Loud Youth Choir. He attends specialist music school Kimichi in Acocks Green.

Kind-hearted Liam released his very first single when he was 11-years-old to raise money for Cure Leukemia in support of his cousin Harrison (Harry) Price who was battling cancer.
