Solihull's mobile covid testing unit has parked up in Hobs Moat

Solihull Editorial 14th Apr, 2021   0

SOLIHULL’S community mobile covid testing unit is in Hobs Moat this week.

The service allows residents without symptoms to get a free rapid test at the unit which is set up on the Hobs Meadow Pub car park on Hobs Moat Road until 4.30pm today (Wednesday) and from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Thursday, April 15.

Residents do not need to book an appointment; they can just turn up at the car park location during the operating hours.

Unit staff will register the test and collect a contact number from residents so they can receive their results.

They will also be on hand to answer questions and offer onsite advice.

Anyone using this service will be required to sanitise their hands, wear a face covering (unless exempt) and continue to maintain social distancing.

The unit had its first outing in Smith’s Wood last month.

Over the coming weeks the Unit will be moving throughout the borough to other areas – a full schedule will be put on the Council website https://www.solihull.gov.uk/COVID-19/covid-testing in due course.

If you have COVID symptoms, generally feel unwell and/ or are self-isolating you must book a test via the online national booking system or by phoning 119 to access a test (local sites include Monkspath Mobile Testing Unit and Birmingham Airport).
