SOLIHULL’S first pop-up indoor Makers’ Market will be in Mell Square this weekend.

The two-day event, taking place from 10am until 4pm on February 14 and 15 and March 14 and 15 will give young and upcoming creators a space to showcase their items.

The two-day markets will be held at Space@MellSquare (next door to Caffè Nero) and in Poplar Way, transforming the areas into vibrant hubs of craftsmanship and creativity.

There will be bespoke jewellery, house plants, handcrafted sensory items, artworks, soaps and candles on offer,

Councillor Ian Courts, deputy leader at Solihull Council, said: “We’re pleased to welcome these talented young traders to Mell Square.

“This market is a fantastic opportunity to bring people into the area whilst supporting ambitious young entrepreneurs.

“We look forward to seeing the event thrive and hope it is a real success for everyone involved.”

The market has been funded by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Mayors Market Fund.
