A DIAMOND couple who have devoted thier lives to each other and Solihull are set to celebrate.

David and Sonia Mouzer, who have lived in Solihull throughout their entire married life, will be marking their 60th wedding anniversary on March 19.

The couple will receive a congratulatory letter from The King in recognition of their milestone.

But it’s not just their enduring marriage that makes their story special – it’s the decades they’ve dedicated to making Solihull a better place for everyone.

For 22 years, the couple were active members of Solihull Lions, tirelessly raising funds for charitable causes across the community.

Their commitment to service continued through David Mouzer’s remarkable 35-year tenure on the committee of the Solihull Branch of the British Legion (50yrs as members), including serving as chairman for seven years and president for four.

Perhaps most notably, the couple ran the Poppy Appeal in Solihull for a decade with David as chairman, organizing remembrance events and raising vital funds for the Royal British Legion to support veterans and their families.

David’s connection to Solihull runs even deeper through his 38-year career at Land Rover – now Jaguar Land Rover.

They said: “We feel incredibly blessed to have spent 60 wonderful years together in Solihull.

“This town has been our home, and we’ve been privileged to give back to a community that has given us so much.”
