Solihull woman and her cat walk 100 miles for charity

A SOLIHULL woman with a rare inflammatory disease is going the extra 100-miles for charity.

Charly Allso has been clocking up the miles with her cat Evelyn, who has joined her in a backpack and by her side on a lead.

She will donate the funds to Friends of Solihull Hospital and Vasculitis UK, which supports those with the disease either on a one-to-one basis or part of a support group and raises awareness of the condition.

Chalry said she spent much of her early 20s at the Lode Lane hospital after being diagnosed with Vasculitis – a group of conditions that cause inflammation of the blood vessels.

She has also been diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder.

Charly said: “To this day am still under the same amazing consultant (at Solihull Hospital) who myself and my family don’t know where I would be without her.

“I became aware of the charity Vasculitis UK by complete chance, I was on a walk with my partner, he was following the smell of pizza, we stumbled across a community fayre and Vasculitis UK had a small stall.”

She hopes to raise £500 for her chosen charities.
