Solihull veterans send good wishes to The King

Solihull Editorial 5th May, 2023   0

SOLIHULL veterans have sent King Charles their best wishes ahead of his coronation this weekend.

Residents at the Royal Star and Garter were filmed sending their good luck messages to the King who will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday (May 6).

In the video, Navy spouse Barbara says the monarch was born to be King and wishes him “a very successful reign.”

While Army wife Penny says she is looking forward to the coronation celebrations and wishes King Charles “the very best for the future.”

RAF veteran Derek said: “Best of luck – we’re behind you.”

Residents from each of the charity’s Tudor Coppice home, which cares for veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia, are featured in the recorded message as well as those from the Surbiton and High Wycombe homes.
