Solihull Editorial 9th Oct, 2021   0

VETERANS rolled their sleeves up once more for their Covid booster jabs.

All 58 residents at Solihull’s Royal Star and Garter Home were given the Pfizer injection at the home.

They also received their flu jabs at the same time.

Around 45 members of staff at the Tudor Coppice home also qualified to have their booster jab six months on from the last dose.

Resident  Audrey:  “It’s wonderful that we’ve had the booster. It means I’m further protected from Covid and that gives me peace of mind.”

The home cares for veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia.

Cheryl Harbourne, home manager, said: “The residents are keen to protect themselves, and they were all pleased to have the booster jab. It’s another step forward in our fight against Covid.”
