VETERANS fell silent to remember friends, family and fellow comrades to mark Armistice Day (November 11).
Residents, staff and volunteers from the Monkspath Hall Road care home laid wreaths while the Last Post was played at the at the Remembrance Sunday service at St Alphege on Sunday (November 12).
Among the guests present was Elaine Butler, president of the Warwickshire and Birmingham County Royal British Legion, and Squadron Leader Dave Kerrison from RAF Cosford.
There was also a service on Armistice Day for all at the home, which looks after veterans and their loved ones with disability or dementia, to attend.
In the lead up to Armitice Day there were poppy-making and arts and crafts activities in the homes.
