Solihull swimmer makes a splash at national championships

A SOLIHULL swimmer made waves after being named as one of the best in the country.

Ella secured eighth place in the National IAPS U10 Girls 50m Breaststroke at the championship competition at the London Aquatics Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

More than 400 schools enter the competition, including Eversfield School, and 1000’s of competitors take part in the qualifiers.

A spokesperson for Eversfield School said: “A tremendous achievement. Her hard work, dedication and determination have truly paid off.

“All the staff and pupils are so proud of Ella and swim teacher Miss Blundell is excited to see what she’ll achieve next. Keep making waves Ella.”

As well as competing and training with school Ella also swims for Blythe Barracudas Swimming Club.
