Solihull Editorial 2nd Jul, 2019   0

SOLIHULL will be buzzing with life later this month as music, food and a jungle trail make their way to the town centre.

Mell Square will be swinging to the sounds of live music between July 19 and July 21 for the Solihull ‘Sort Of’ Jazz Festival.

Around 28 bands and solo artists will perform at 17 different venues across the town centre including The Voice Kids UK star Liam Price

The teenager’s performance of the Bill Withers classic Lean on Me was described by The Voice Kids host Emma Willis as ‘the best pitch I’ve seen in seven years’.

Liam will be performing alongside fellow The Voice Kids UK contestant Aimee Bryceland, who wowed the show’s judges with her performance of Meet You at the Moon by Imelda May.

As well as listening to the soulful music, families can take part in the Jazzy Jungle Trail across the town centre over the weekend.

Animals will be hiding out in shop windows across Solihull town centre and children need to seek them out to be in with the chance of winning a £50 gift card to spend at the Entertainer in Touchwood.

The town’s streets will also be lined with stalls from the food and drink market,

The food and drink market will be in Mell Square, Mill Lane and High Street from 10am each day between Thursday July 18 and Sunday July 21.
