Solihull Sixth Form College move open evening online due to rising Covid figures

Solihull Editorial 11th Jan, 2022   0

SOLIHULL Sixth Form College will be holding its upcoming open evening online due to rising Covid infections.

The now virtual event will run from 5pm to 7pm on Microsoft Teams Live Events and will feature a number of live broadcasts being delivered by senior management and teachers.

Parents and prospective student taking part on January 24 will be given the chance to ask questions using the chat function on Teams.

The sessions will be recorded, so anyone not able to attend all the sessions they want to live, have the opportunity to catch up via the college’s website and YouTube channel.

College principal Dr Martin Sullivan said: “Moving our January event online is the responsible thing to do in the circumstances and ensures we can still provide valuable post-16 advice to those who are weighing up their options for future study.

“All prospective students who get an offer to study with us next September will also get the chance to visit the College in the summer when we offer campus tours.”

Those who had already booked tickets for the in-person event will be contacted by email about the online move.
