BUDDING musicians followed in the footsteps of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Adele by playing at the Cavern Club.
After many weeks of rehearsing, Lyndon School shared the stage with other schools and local bands and even brought along some of their fans from home.
The pupils, who have formed their own bands in school through dedicated after-school rehearsals, showcased a range of their favourite songs in front of a live audience that included fellow students, family members, and music lovers from across the region.
Head of school, Syreeta Kapswara said: “I am so proud of our learners for seizing this opportunity to perform in such a famous venue following in the footsteps of world renowned musicians.
“At Lyndon we know that providing learners with chances to play in real settings is so important in order to encourage them to be confident and creative individuals and I can’t wait to see where they will play next.”
Known as the most famous club in the world where The Beatles played 292 times, The Cavern Club is a thriving live music venue and home of the Merseybeat movement, a significant cultural and musical phenomenon that originated in Liverpool, England, in the early 1960s.
