TALENTED Solihull thespians will take to the stage in a charity variety show to celebrate the Mayor’s year in office.
Solihull Shines will see a number of performers showcasse their talents at The Core Theatre on April 10 from 7pm.
The event is hosted by the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, and proceeds raised will be donated to her three Mayoral charities: Cameron Grant Memorial Trust, Newlands Bishop Farm and OVOS (Our Voice, Our Services).
The Mayor of Solihull said: “Solihull Shines will help to raise funds for three charities which support young people in different ways. It is therefore fitting that this evening showcases some of the most talented young people in our borough.
“We have a brilliant mix of acts in store, showcasing magic to music and everything in between, so grab your ticket and join me for what is promising to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.”
The line up so far including magician Ben Hunt, Pop Voices Youth Choir, and the multi-award-winning performing arts school Born2Sing.
Wordsmith Japmeh Kaur Gujral – who is current Young Poet Laureate for Birmingham – will take to the stage, while award-nominated independent filmmaker and digital artist Nicola Prestage will be compere for the event.
Standard tickets are priced at £20 while VIP tickets cost £40 and include access to the Courtyard Gallery from 6pm with exclusive pre-show entertainment, grazing boards and a complimentary drink on arrival; access to the show, alongside a dessert platter and a complimentary drink during the interval.
