A SOLIHULL School girl put on her dancing shoes for an outstanding semi-final performance on Britain’s Got Talent.

Jessica Bond, aged 10, performed as part of AcroCadabra, a dance act which combines skillful dance and acrobatics with magic on the show over the summer.

The dance troupe impressed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams in the first live audition at the London Palladium.

Previously, they won the world title at the 2017 Dance World Cup in Germany and performed with Arlene Phillips as part of her UK tour.

Jessica’s mother, Vicky Richards, the owner of Spotlight Stage School in Solihull, created and choregraphed all the routines for the dance act.

Vicky said: “Jessica loved performing on Britain’s Got Talent. It was a chance for the team to form strong relationships and have the ability to trust each other to achieve remarkable things, which they proved on the show.

“The performers are all incredibly talented children and I am so proud of all their achievements, which include performing in the West End and winning international titles.

“Mr Penney and all the teachers at Solihull School are incredibly supportive of Jessica. They all encouraged her during Britain’s Got Talent and they allowed her to have time off to represent England in the Dance World Cup in Jersey in 2016 and Germany in 2017.”

In the last two years, Jessica has represented England at the Dance World Cup, winning six world titles and two silver medals in tap, musical theatre and acrobatics.

She has also performed on larger stages, such as Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End, Disneyland Paris for a variety show, Silverstone Circuit for the MotoGP and Wembley Stadium with the popstar Foxes.

Away from the stage, Jessica aspires to become a dentist or pilot after she leaves school.
