A SOLIHULL School Upper Sixth student has been highly commended in the prestigious ‘Young Economist of the Year 2022 Competition.’
Ben Raybould was amongst only a handful of others acknowledged as an outstanding submission.
The Young Economics of the Year Competition is an annual student-based competition, to encourage students to think about current economic issues and promote the study of economic science.
The Royal Economic Society invites students to write an essay or report of up to 1,000 words.
A spokesperson from the school said: “Ben’s submission, showcased amazing creativity and originality, congratulations!”
Miss Zhou said: “I organised workshops on economics academic essay writing to prepare our Lower Sixth students for the competition. We are absolutely delighted with Ben’s success.”
The national essay writing competition, run in association with the Financial Times, encourages students to think about current economic issues.
