STAFF from a Solihull school have headed out into the community to take part in a litter picking session this month.
A team of teaching and support staff from Cockshut Hill School rolled up their sleeves and spent several hours picking litter at Yardley Old Park.
They collected several bags of rubbish from the streets and green areas around the school and intend to make regular efforts to clean up the area.
Cockshut Hill Schools aims to ensure all learners leave able to have successful, happy lives and to make a positive impact on their communities.
Marc O’Malley, acting principal at Cockshut Hill said: “I am so proud of our staff members who went out and spent their own time making our community better.
“They are making a real difference one piece of litter at a time and also showing our young people how to truly live by the community values we teach in school.”
