A PAIR of Solihull pupils are smiling after reaching the finals of a national competition fighting racism.

Evie and Piper from Solihull Prep School came second in the All Schools Media category of the national Show Racism the Red Card competition.

Evie in J1 (Year 3) and Piper in Nursery attended the awards ceremony which was held at Nottingham Forest’s Football Ground.

On their return to school, in recognition of their success, received a Commendation from the Head of the Prep School, Mr Penney.

A spokesperson for Show Racism the Red Card said: “A record 540 schools participated in this year’s competition, with over 25,000 young people taking part.

“The best part? Seeing first-hand the talent, insight and passion of our young participants.

“Their voices not only restore hope but also remind us that a future built on unity, respect and justice is not just possible – it’s within our grasp.”
