Solihull school achieves national careers award

A SCHOOL in Acocks Green has been awarded the Quality in Careers Standard, a national award which recognises high quality careers provision for all students.

The award celebrates Ninestiles excellent provision in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), in recognition of meeting the Gatsby benchmarks and additional career-related learning outcomes for their young people.

The Standard complies with the Department of Education (DfE)’s Statuary Guidance for schools and is endorsed by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation’s ‘Good Careers Guidance’ report’.

Fozia Fazil, career lead at Ninestiles, an Academy, said: “This is an amazing achievement and I am so appreciative that our Principal, Senior Leadership Team and governing body recognise the importance of careers work, particularly in raising student aspirations and encouraging a whole-school approach to CEIAG.




“Thank you to all those involved in delivering the careers programme for your hard work and commitment, ensuring our learners are prepared for the world of work.”
