ROADS will be closed across the borough on Sunday (November 10) as people mark Remembrance Sunday.
In the town centre Church Hill Road, New Road and the Service Road near Council House, Manor Square will be closed between 10am and 1pm.
In Shirley Stratford Road (from Poppy Island to its junction with Union Road) will be closed from 10am until noon – alternative routes for traffic will be signed via Olton Road, Streetsbrook Road, Blossomfield Road and Stratford Road.
From 10am the A4141 from Wychwood island past the Royal British Legion, High Street Knowle, Kenilworth Road and Wilsons Road in Knowle will be closed until 1pm.
In Dickens Heath Hensborough Road – from Willowherb Way to junction with Old Dickens Heath Road and Old Dickens Heath Road – from Junction with Hensborough Road to car park entrance, will be closed from 10am until noon.
An alternative route will be signed via Dickens Heath Road.
From 10am until 12.30pm The Green and Old Croft Lane will be closed in Castle Bromwich.
In Meriden the B4102 Main Road (between Leys Lane and the Manor Hotel), Berkswell Road (between Main Road and Heart of England Social Club) will be closed from 10.20am until 11.30am.
In Hampton in Arden Solihull Road (from Eastcote Lane to Marsh Lane), the B4102 High Street (between Marsh Lane and Old Station Road), Shadowbrook Lane (in the
vicinity of the War Memorial), Fentham Road and Meriden Road (from Old Station Road to Diddington Lane) will be closed from 10am until noon.
The A3400 Stratford Road in Hockley Heath (between School Road and Spring Lane) and B4438 Old Warwick Road (for 50 metres from its junction with A3400 Stratford Road) will be closed from 12.30pm until 1.30pm.
In Marston Green Elmdon Road (between Hidcote Grove and Station Road), Land Lane (between Elmdon Road and Station Road) and Station Road (between Chelmsley
Lane and Land Lane) will be closed from 10.30am until 11.30am.
