SILHILLIANS are being urged to get their running shoes on and join the fight against cancer.
With just two weeks to go until the big day, organisers are urging women who haven’t secured their place yet to sign up for the Race for Life event on Sunday, June 19 at Malvern Park.
Entry closes on June 17 and mums, daughters, grandmas, sisters, friends and workmates who want to take part in the 5k women-only event.
Last year, over 2,200 women took part in Race for Life in Solihull and raised a whopping £140,000.
This year organisers hope to see to see the same level of support from local ladies.
Money raised through Race for Life allows Cancer Research UK’s doctors, nurses and scientists to advance research which is helping to save the lives of men, women and children across Solihull and the UK.
