SILHILLIANS are are being invited to raise a glass for charity at a Beer Festival this weekend.
The event, organised by local charity the Friends of St Alphege Music, will have more than 20 real ales as well as a selection of ciders, perries (pear cider), wine and gin on offer at the fifth annual event.
Doors at the Oliver Bird Hall on Church Hill Road open from 5.30pm until 10.30pm on Friday (November 1) and noon until 10pm on Saturday (November 2).
The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Stuart Davis, will open the festival and there will be live music over the weekend.
Proceeds will go to the Friends of St Alphege Music which supports musical education.
Entrance costs £5 and the fee includes a souvenir glass and programme.
