Solihull pupils handed Character Awards

A TRIO of pupils were celebrating when they were handed top awards.

The Lode Heath School pupils were awarded awarded Character Awards for Outstanding Contributions.

The awards recognise pupils exceptional personal qualities and the positive impact they have made within the school community.

Year 8 pupil Lexi Sandford has been recognised for her incredible resilience and determination.

After suffering a broken collar bone she not only completed all work set to a high standard buit said to be always cheerful, helpful, and kind to everyone.

Dotty Langston, in Year 9, impressed staff during a recent Ski Trip practice session where she leadership and compassion by supporting and encouraging her peers down the more challenging slopes.




Hayder-Ali Gillani, in Year 10, leads daily prayer sessions in the prayer room.

The school said other pupils look up to him, and his leadership has made a significant contribution to the spiritual life of the school.


Headteacher, Laura Suddon, said, “We are incredibly proud of Lexi, Dotty, and Hayder.

“They each demonstrate the strength of character and kindness that make them and our school family so special.”
