SOLIHULL policing teams have had a busy start to 2025.

A speedwatch session in Monkspath Hall Road caught two drivers breaking the speed limit.

The speedwatch was arranged by the St Alphege team and targeted the area as a known speeding hotspot.

The St Alph’s team also set up a neighbourhood surgery in the Core library to speak to residents and hand out crime prevention advice.

West Midlands Police said the Shirley team carried out night time foot patrols around the Stratford Road and Parkgate areas, as well as a traffic operation at Sears Retail Park which resulted in a cloned vehicle being seized.

The Chelmsley Wood team met up with local Streetwatch volunteers to keep an eye on the car parks and residential areas.

And the Smith’s Wood team arrested four people on suspicion of theft of a motorcycle and theft of a pedal bike, seizing four bikes which were suspected stolen.
