THE HALLS of Arden Academy were filled with the sweet smell of orchids as the Solihull and District Orchid Society hosted its annual show.
Enthusiasts from the society and neighbouring organisations descended on the Knowle school to battle it out for various titles and to pass on their passion and knowledge of orchids to interested visitors.
There were displays from four visiting orchid societies.
Demonstrations were held to help budding gardeners understand and grow their plants with more confidence and knowledge.
