Henley's Johnsons Coaches up for family business of the year

FAMILY-run Johnsons Coaches in Henley is en route to another award.

The coach company is in the running for a Family Business of the Year award at the Midlands Service Excellence Awards 2024.

The winners will be announced at an award evening on March 7 in Solihull.

The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate their business achievements and successes while connecting with other like-minded individuals, businesses and charities.

This year Johnsons Coaches will be celebrating 115 years of being a family business.

The current owners, John and Pete Johnson, took over the running of the business in 1979 when it was operating four coaches, a furniture removal lorry and a taxi.

Forty-three years later they have built the company to where it is now, with over 55 coaches operating from a purpose built four-acre site.

Lauren Davies, head of business for Johnsons, said “We are honoured to be shortlisted for the Family Business of the Year Award at the Midlands Service Excellence Awards 2024.

“This recognition speaks to the enduring values and collaborative spirit that define Johnsons Coaches. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the impact we’ve made in the communities we serve.”
