A SOLIHULL theatre group is desperately seeking men to join the company of their upcoming production.
St Augustine’s Musical Theatre Company are looking for two or three male actors to join the ensemble chorus of 9 to 5 – a musical written by country music star Dolly Parton.
Following the sell-out success of the company’s last show, Sister Act, the theatre troupe are hoping their upcoming production – based on the film of the same name starring Dolly, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin – will hit the right notes.
Set in the 1970s, the musical tells the story of an office fed up of being run by their ‘sexist, egotistical, bigot’ Franklin Heart, and promises something for everyone to enjoy.
The men would need to be in their late teens to thirties, and be able to sing, dance and act.
St Augustine’s Musical Theatre Company are also on the hunt for anyone interested in helping out backstage during the show’s run at The Core (formerly Solihull Arts Complex Theatre) in November this year.
Anyone interested in join the company should contact director Veronica Walsh on 01217 053914, or visit www.stagsmtc.co.uk for more details.
Tickets are also on-sale for the production – playing at The Core from Tuesday, November 15 to Saturday, November 19.
